Grants, Fellowships and Awards

  • Grants

In a bold step toward fostering a more equitable and sustainable future, 80 Acres proudly presents a transformative initiative dedicated to supporting the vital work of community organizations and visionary individuals in Amherst. With a steadfast commitment to advancing racial and climate justice, we are allocating funds to propel the impactful efforts of those tirelessly working at the intersection of these critical issues.

We are pleased to offer grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 to community organizations dedicated to advancing racial equity and environmental sustainability. These grants are designed to amplify the efforts of groups laying the groundwork for a just society, where every community member has the opportunity to thrive in harmony with our planet.

  • Fellowships

In addition to organizational grants, 80 Acres is honored to introduce two exclusive fellowships:

Artist Fellowship: Targeted towards artists whose work resonates with themes of racial and climate justice, this fellowship provides an opportunity for artists to advance their vision, creating works that inspire, challenge, and catalyze change.

Community Organizer Fellowship: Tailored for community organizers dedicated to building bridges and fostering communities that value justice, equity, and environmental stewardship. This fellowship supports organizers in amplifying their impact and leading transformative initiatives.

  • Community Leadership Award

To further recognize and honor the inspiring efforts of individuals driving change in our community, 80 Acres will solicit nominations for the Community Leadership Award. This award will grant $10,000 to a member of the community who inspires and leads work towards a more equitable world.
